Events and Conferences 

Sri Sathya Sai Award for Human Excellence is being instituted by the Trust ever since the year 2016 to honour and celebrate individuals who lead a life of service and sacrifice to serve mankind in various fields of social relevance. The awards are conferred upon individuals who traverse on a path beyond their call of duty in seven categories of social relevance such as; Education, Health, Environment, Woman and Child Welfare, Unity of Religions, Music and Fine Arts, and Sports. The panel of distinguished jury are - Mr Sunil Gavaskar, Dr Ajay Mathur, Mr Ravi Singh, Prof J S Rajput, Dr Gururaj Karajagi, Dr J Shashidhara Prasad, Ms Gulshaa Begum, Dr Padma Subrahmanyam, Pandit Shiv Kumar Sharma, Mr Samuel K Samuel, Swami Nikhileswarananda, Dr Sajeeda Begum, Ms Gayathri B Kalia, Dr Anitha Suxena, Ms Donna L Goodman, Swami Mitrananda, Ustad Amjad Ali Khan and Dr B C Harinath. They deliberate and choose the awardees from around the world every year, based on a selected theme. The themes for the last four years have been: 2016 - Men and Women Achievers; 2017 – Women Achievers; 2018 – Young Achievers; 2019 – Unsung Heroes of India; 2021 – Celebrating the COVID Warriors of India. Exposure of the youth to different aspects of contributing to the society in a beneficial way, based on their passion and interest, inspiring them and creating awareness about different social concerns, and the need for youth to step up is the primary goal of organising this very important event every single year.

World Youth Meets and Education Conferences are also conducted by the Trust to inspire youth, teachers and educators to transform their lives into one of purpose. 

Bharath Sangeeta Sammelan was held on 17 & 18 November 2021 to deliberate on the healing effects of music and to approach music as an art beyond entertainment. Music Legends such as – Padma Vibhushan Awardee Dr Umayalpuram K Sivaraman, Padma Vibhushan Awardee Pandit Chhannulal Mishra, Padma Bhushan Awardee Sri Vikku Vinayakram, Ganakalabhushana Vidwan Dr R K Padmanabha, Padma Shri Awardee Dr Yella Venkateshwara Rao, Pandit Ronu Majumdar; and 19 other renowned musicians were present at the event to share their wisdom and inspire the younger generation to approach music as a means to promote individual and societal upliftment. World Youth Meet was held on 19 & 20 November 2021 on the theme, ‘The Pandemic Lessons – Within and Without,’ to conduct an open forum for youth from across the globe to share their experiences, challenges, and learnings during the pandemic. International Conference on the Future of Medical Education was held on 21 and 22 November 2021 to discuss ‘Post-Pandemic Reforms in Medical Education.’ About 20 International experts deliberated on the post-pandemic educational reforms needed for making medical education more affordable, accessible, and integrated for providing compassionate, comprehensive, and culturally sensitive healthcare to underserved populations across developing and developed nations.
